This is my latest look that I’ve been trying out. Now that I have longer hair, I’m getting a lot more interested in hairstyles and making my hair look prettier for day to day activities. I’m really loving plaits and braids at the moment so I thought that I would share with you how I’ve styled my hair this morning:
Step 1) Make sure that your hair isn’t newly washed or too curled/knotted, this will make it a lot easier to braid. First of all start by parting your hair into two sections and which ever side you’re braiding first, clip or tie the other side up so that it doesn’t get in your way.
Step 2) Part the side you’re working on into three sections so that it looks a little like in the picture above. From the front of your hair, start to underlay the three strands one by one, grabbing hair from underneath as you go along.
Step 3) Continue to do this until you have worked most of the side of your hair until you get to the back. It’s only the top half of the head that you’ll be working on and leaving the bottom of your hair to either curl or straighten. Once the braid is complete, clip it into place with a bobby pin at the back of your head.
Step 4) Unclip the other side of your hair and do the same, sectioning your hair into three parts and grabbing hair from underneath to create a braid. Again, continue to do this all the way along the top of your head and clip into place at the back.
Step 5) Once this is done, you can accessorise with a bow or some decorated clips at the back of your hair where the braids meet if you like. You can wear this style day or night and you can even make the braid looser by pulling it out or mess it up by brushing over it lightly with a comb.
