Beauty | My Morning Skincare Routine

Share

Today I'm gonna be writing about my usual morning skincare routine, from the cleansers to the creams and so on. There aren't a lot of products that I use in the morning because I don't want to use too much on my skin, but looking after your skin is one of the most important things to do, especially in the morning. Here are a few products that I used this morning and they are:

The Malin + Goetz Grapefruit Face Cleanser. The bottles are actually around 236ml, but I got this little bottle free in a magazine and thought it was so good that I carried on using it. I love the smell of grapefruit and this product leaves your skin feeling super soft. Definitely worth a buy this Christmas!

Next up, the Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner. I recently wrote a review on this product which can be found by clicking here. So in that review I've explained why I love and use it and how to use it of course. I also explained that I only use toner some mornings, but for this little write up, I did.

Here we have the Derma V10 Q10 Anti Wrinkle Cream - This is my substitute to expensive moisturisers and anti-wrinkle creams and works just as well, honestly! I use anti-wrinkle cream at the moment sometimes as moisturiser because I don't want to put two lots of cream on my face. I'm scared of getting wrinkles so I'm starting early... Though, you start ageing when you hit 21 so maybe I'm doing myself a favour?

Up next, the T-Zone Rapid Action Spot Zapping Gel. This is actually a really good spot treatment, I've been using this for a while now but was recently introduced to the Witch Blemish Stick. I thought I'd stick with what I know for showing you though because I haven't been using the Witch product for very long. This product always clears up my spots and it's great to use before bed as well as in the mornings.

Now that I've got all the products explained to you, let's get started!

Step 1) Get some cotton wool pads, a towel and a bowl of warm water ready for your facial cleanse.

Step 2) Apply a small amount of the cleanser to your fingers and rub onto your face. Make sure your face is damp first, otherwise the gel won't rub in properly and reach your to pores. Keep rubbing away gently at your face until you have covered most of your face or the areas you want to work on. After about 2 minutes, wash the cleanser off your face with the warm water.

Step 3) After you have washed your face with the warm water, gently pat your face dry with a towel. If you rub your face with the towel, it will cause bacteria to spread across your face, leaving you with more spots and dirty skin in the long run. (Which isn't what you want is it)

Step 4) Spray some toner onto your cotton wool pads and lightly wipe it across your whole face, just the once. This will help your skin feel refreshed. If your face still has excess toner on, then grab a new and clean cotton wool pad and wipe over your face again.

Step 5) After toning, apply a small amount of moisturiser to your finger tips and dot it on areas of your face like in the picture above. Once you're happy, rub in the moisturiser with both hands. Focus on any dry spots you want to reach and remember not to neglect the neck, it needs just as much love as the face.

Step 6) Apply a small amount of spot treatment to your fingers and rub into the areas on your face that has the most spots or usually gets the most spots. This will help to battle them and keep them simmered down for as long as possible. If you keep caring for your skin and using spot treatment, eventually all the hard work will pay off.

Here's my before and after shot from my skincare routine. In the afterwards shot, my skin has a glow to it and looks more fresh. You're able to see the features of my face more clearly and my spots don't look as red as before.

I hope you enjoyed this little skincare routine that I showed you. If you have any tips for me or want to tell me what products you use, I'd love to know.

Thanks for stopping by everyone and I'll see you next time!
